Ajurvedic Massage

Abhyanga

This treatment is a classical Ayurvedic massage. The massage direchtion is away from the heart to the extremities, because abhy mean follow and Angam mean body part. The massage is not very intense but with steady pressure exercised.
This type of massage increases arterial blood circulation, invigorates the body, strengthens bones and muscles, as rejuvenating anti-aging and prevent disease.

Shiro Abhyanga
Shiro Abhyanga is a relaxing head massage - Shiro means head in Sanskrit - which is mainly carried out with the fingers. The treatment works for headaches, insomnia, stress, hair loss, dandruff, memory and vision.

Jambeera Pinda Swedam (Ayurvedic massage stamp)
As an addition this treatment may also be recommended. Jambeera means sweat lemon, Pinda bag and Swedam. There are small hot bags, filled with lemon peel. They are used with gently throbbing motions on the treated areas.
The beneficial effect is mainly to promote the blood circulation, improve mobility, and the relaxation of muscle tightness. The treatment has restricted motion, relieve tension in the shoulders, and in a stiff neck, back and hip, pinched nerves, sciatica, and it is recommended even for osteoporosis.
